You've got the Love

Sooner or later in life the things you love you loose

The quote lately became some weird universal truth when it comes to life.
I moved out of my parents' house about a month ago because the situation became unbarable - for both parties.
For my own good I left leaving a note behind.
I didn't know where to go so I spend the nights at friends of mine, until this one guy I was keen on for ages offered me to stay in his flat.
Since there was no other place to stay I accepted his generous offer.
He went back to his parents, left me the flat, forbid me to return him the rent and left to study in Spain two weeks ago.
I rented the flat his furniture is still here, together with the ghostly presence of the last words he uttered You're an awful person and I can't stand you, at least his goodbye-presents to me are also still there.
One of his sweaters, an audio book with his voice and the knowledge that his last words were a lie, to prevent me from suffering.

“Love can change a person the way a parent can change a baby- awkwardly, and often with a great deal of mess.”

Memento mori

The funny thing about death is that most people simply forget about their mortality, until the death of someone reminds them of the fact that their existence isn't endless.
Let's face it each one of us has to die sooner or later.
How come that I am posting about a topic that is obviously sad and no one wants to read about.
Some person I hold very dear is probably going to die soon.
The odd thing is that everybody around this person is very sad and everything but the person who is going to die is not.
He is literally waiting for the "Grim Reaper" to get him, calling the local parson every day to make his last testimony over and over again.
In the end he wakes up in the morning just to notice that he is still alive, although he refuses to eat or drink.
It drives him mad that god chose him to be the last person to be still alive while his wife and friends are already pushing up the daisies.
In some eerie way I admire his attitude torwards death.
Many people start panicing when they notice that time wents on and that the end is coming closer.
These people start lamenting about what they forgot to do instead of reminding themselfs of what they already did.
The weird person I admire is literally tired of life.
Of course I am very sad that he is leaving due to egoistic & completly selfish reasons & because he reminds me of the fact that life is not infinitely.
I really hope that one day I'll be one of the persons being "tired" of life without lamenting about what I still wanted to do but never did.

“It is a curious thing, the death of a loved one. We all know that our time in this world is limited, and that eventually all of us will end up underneath some sheet, never to wake up. And yet it is always a surprise when it happens to someone we know. It is like walking up the stairs to your bedroom in the dark, and thinking there is one more stair than there is. Your foot falls down, through the air, and there is a sickly moment of dark surprise as you try and readjust the way you thought of things.”

Do you have something to say?

Yes because as soon as I have an opinion it has to come out.
Unfortunately I glued my lips together, so I write to share my view on the world and tell my stories instead of only reading the ones of others.
